Most of us have heard of the Hilton Hotel franchise, but many of us don't realize that Mr. Hilton first got his start on the Bankhead highway!

     Conrad Hilton’s very first hotel property is in none other than Cisco, TX. It is said that he was in Cisco to buy a bank and ended up buying the hotel when he could not find a place to stay in town. The historic Mobley Hotel is now home to the Cisco, Texas Chamber of Commerce office and community center. There are still two rooms that are preserved as they were in 1919, and a third room serves as a small museum for Conrad Hilton himself.
